Primary Therapist- Shaina Sadler, LMFT
Shaina Sadler, MA, LMFT earned both her bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from Pepperdine University with a major in clinical psychology and an emphasis in marriage and family therapy.
Shaina has worked in various clinical settings providing therapeutic and psychoeducational services to individuals, couples and families. Shaina has also conducted outreach and training for the Ventura County Partnership for Safe Families.
Early on in her training, Shaina became interested in the role of attachment disruption/separation, trauma and loss, and felt compelled to hone her clinical training around specialized attachment-based treatment modalities within a family systems framework.
Shaina worked in both the private and public sectors, serving predominantly resource (foster), kinship, and adoptive (domestic and international adoptions) families. She spearheaded and managed programs to fund and launch these specialized clinical services to children and families in the Ventura County Child Welfare System, narrowing the longstanding gap in continuity of care.
Shaina felt called to expand her clinical endeavors and was drawn to the clinical environment at Milestones Ranch as a result of her own personal experience with loved ones having suffered the unique dynamics of addiction and co-occurring mental health challenges.
Shaina is particularly attuned to the impact that is seen, felt and experienced by the entire family. Shaina utilizes authenticity and a humanistic approach to support healing and create lasting change.
Shaina believes that through genuine curiosity and empathy – for oneself and for others – one can begin to create congruency for one’s personal internal narrative, at which point the possibilities for growth are limitless.
