Denise Klein, MSW, ACSW
Executive Director
She began her career serving as a Family Advocacy Therapist for the Grand Forks Air Force Base in North Dakota helping families struggling with domestic violence and addiction related issues.
Later, as CEO for “Innerchoice” Family Counseling Center in Loveland, Colorado, Denise designed and implemented a state of the art in-home based “wrap around program” for dual diagnosed client’s and their families.
The program was designed to keep families intact rather than removing children from the home. The inherent belief in this model is that the solution lies in the strength of the family unit and that families have the solutions within them.
Innovative systemic supportive services were facilitated by the Innerchoice Team in Colorado. Denise’s ongoing passion is for developing programs that help the entire family system and assist the client in creating a sober and fun lifestyle.
Solution focused and strength based interventions supported by the belief that people and system’s “can and do change” is inherent in the work that is now done at Milestone’s Ranch Malibu Residential Treatment Center.
All of the Milestone’s staff are chosen to be on the “Milestone’s Team” because they believe in the families ability to create lasting and sustainable change!!! “Sober Fun” is also an exciting and foundational component for this program.
Denise believes sobriety should be fun, exciting and compelling…..!!! The Milestone’s Team helps the client’s prepare for a healthy lifestyle by providing free “Sunday Fun Day” – which is free day treatment on Sunday’s FOR LIFE for our graduates.
Our commitment is to be there for our client’s and help them achieve all they can and live the best possible life they can!! Denise believes whole heartedly that by recognizing the “divine spark” in each and every one, the healthy self can be nurtured, strengthened, and sustained!!!
Her favorite quote: “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.”
- Nelson Mandela.
