While treatment centers and programs traditionally have focused on drug addiction within the framework of 12-Step philosophies and treated the associated conditions that perpetuate addiction as secondary, MILESTONES addresses chemical dependency, substance use, and the “associated conditions” equally and simultaneously .

MILESTONES provides a client-centered approach to working with people “where they are” rather that “where they should be ,” as dictated by many treatment providers and therapists who specialize in dual disorders.
MILESTONES allows clients to set their own goals while staff continues to provide support and assistance as these goals change over time. The MILESTONES method is consumer orientated with a focus on informed choice, a partnership approach with therapist and client. Research shows that people who are given a choice in treatment are more likely to maintain long-term recovery. The “one size fits all” approach is significantly less effective than the MILESTONES method.

- Free 1 week “Tune-Up” for all Milestone’s graduates who complete four weeks of successful programming
- Free Sunday day treatment for life. ( We do not want finances interfering with ability to continue day treatment – clients are UA’ed upon arrival helping to hold them accountable. )
- Average clinical case load of 4 clients per primary therapist with Master’s degree and Ph.d level clinicians who understand that they need to “start where the client is”
- 6-8 individual sessions per week and 3-4 group sessions daily
- Individualized treatment plan is determined by the client’s unique characteristics, assets, cognitive challenges and developmental needs
- Compassionate staff who are rigorously evaluated and chosen for their ability to easily join with clients
- Dedicated benefits coordinator who will proactively pursue insurance reimbursement on behalf of the client and family

- Diverse Group Modalities such as: Psychodrama, Cognitive Skills Development, Expressive Arts, DBT Skills Training, Movement Therapy, Ropes Course, Non-violent Communication, Music Therapy & Yoga

- Active Alumni Sober Fun Parties and gatherings to practice new skills
- In addition to these above services, we have an alumni coordinator whose goal is to help patients integrate back into the community after they leave treatment. Services include, but are not limited to:
- Dual Diagnosis specific Sober Living Tours as needed
- Life skills – (cooking, cleaning, organizing, money/time management)
- Resume building, mock interviewing and vocational assessments
- Enrolling in college (apply, tours, sign up for classes, meet with special services, study for tests once enrolled)
- GED services (help with studying)
- DMV (Driver’s license, ID’s, etc.)
- Job Hunting and dress for success!!
- Having a bad day and just need to talk – We are here!!
- Our main goal throughout treatment and after is to help patients find their path and create purpose and meaning, so life doesn’t have to be about drugs and alcohol.
- We strive to show patients that life can still be full of fun and purpose and meaning. This is the key component for our client’s successful recovery process!!
